Compartmentalized Inadequacy

While watching the failure of our bureaucracy repeat itself regularly, I find myself thinking of viable outcomes when alternate methods are employed than what we presently witness. It seems like things in office are purposely stagnated as a crutch for politicians to use for blaming all sorts of things on.  The number one culprit is compartmentalized government. Intelligence officials blatantly understand that compartmentalization is detrimental to everyday business, but deliberately refuse to do anything that addresses the problem may be because of its potential benefits?

It makes me wonder how often they rely on the broken system to explain away procedural discrepancies and other ‘happenstances’ that may or may not occur. An excellent example of compartmentalization crisis is the outdated U.S. government Technology Council. Our national security Is a direct result of ill-networked compartmentalization caused by neglect. The national data storage technologies used today are like what was utilized in the 1990’. President Trump recently penned an executive order in July 2017 on a national emergency magnitude to address the issues by immediately funding new network hardware for our intelligence departments to share via cloud.

This innovation to federal agencies I.T. infrastructure de-compartmentalizes our agencies to an extent that already makes them over 30% more efficient with their assigned tasks. Rebooting how the federal government does infrastructure technology is a necessity on a regular basis these days. Artificial intelligence can be used in commercial technology, prioritizing technology students to focus on using cloud-based platforms to share files and data seamlessly. The government is forced to catch up with technology’s faster pace and de-compartmentalize the nation’s agencies because of an efficient data stream. Cross communications are much faster today, and show exactly how obsolete the compartmentalized government communication channels do nothing other than hinder response.

Encouraging new methods to be adopted by our government agencies shouldn’t be too difficult to accomplish given the factual numbers. No other country has been conducting their military industrial complex thru a web of unconnected channels like ours for so long. Our compartmentalized government has been causing international incidents because of their inept communications between branches. The engineers behind our secure communications are also unrelated to each other, furthering maintenance issues and other technical discrepancies.

Government departments are often caught working for other government department’s corporate interests almost every time there is a policy failure or some other sort of violation of procedure. The governments only answer to a failed policy is to fund reform committees that often take years to publish findings, after many things have already changed since the beginning of the motion. The other departments like USAID are unrelated to Military daily duty are often weeks behind in their communication, too. The left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing keeps things more or less in a constant grey area, and almost all effective communication would immediately breakdown in the event of any surprises or single failure, stagnating, decisions, movement, resource delivery, and other vital administrative protocols.

Cloud.org

Many organizations have migrated to the cloud to enjoy the ease of employing software, sharing data, stream-lining their daily operations and most importantly, save a lot of money on overhead.  A good example of an organization benefitting from cloud migration would be Amazon’s case study on their system’s software named Blackboard Learn. Having satellite offices spread-out over a wide area and still connected to the same network that allows this powerful software to be beneficial to all kinds of learning organizations. The cloud allows the vendor to deploy their software from only 29 data centers; which provide more than 100 million users on over 16,000 clients in 90 countries access! The cloud-enabled a few teams of developers to change the world standard practically overnight. Many organizations also benefit from data pooling after migration to be surprising. Simple things like schedules, payroll, inventory, accounts payable, etc. are collectively accessed seamlessly and instantaneously from every individual client under the organization’s domain.
New improvements to data pooling can also be expressed in another case study of IBM cloud. IBM has always pooled data, but now they offer it in their cloud services built on the world’s most open source projects. It has platform software which can be tailored to suit any organization and helps developers build amazing API services faster by having the software already pre-installed with a developer dashboard as a platform. Combining software and the cloud offers software as a service that’s very useful and cheap. Organizations can save money on software licensing by paying for volumized license keys rather than a retail price because the software can be run and deployed in the organization’s private network. There’s another case study of Kellogg’s company that was trying to manage its marketing cost with real-time sales. Amazon’s Virtual Private Cloud offers Kellogg’s connection to their data centers to allow Amazon’s CloudWatch to monitor each department based on constants and that helps Kellogg’s marketing to streamline costs. Amazon offers a Trade and Promotions Management software as a service.
Deploying a pool of data on the cloud is an anomaly. Security, network, read and wrote speeds are also improving at an impressive rate. Tricks of the trade are automated and failproof in today’s applications. New improvements to Windows Server and other NOSs on private clouds get this benefit even better today, implementing port control, MAC/I. P white lists, access control, permissions, inheritance, and even individual user account encryption offering a proxy session that keeps data secure from the outside. Security is currently being improved upon as average users usually do not know how to set up a proxy or spoof their MAC address, but emerging applications are addressing security exploits and allowing admin to close loopholes like closing open, unused ports or easily forwarding ports without having to use the command line terminal.
Another case study that reflects security improvements is Avira’s testimony from their customer successes. Avira hosts an infrastructure on AWS that utilizes Amazon’s Elastic Compute Cloud with a relational database service to hold encryption keys, back-up data, save configurations and analytics. It’s a function is to upload and scan all files for potential threats before saving them to the local client device. Other than minor security issues or a non-existent downtime, the cloud is king. The cloud offers scalability, elasticity, wide availability, and saves businesses a lot of money on network hardware and maintenance. The cloud also saves on software licensing by offering companies software as a service or platform to provide them with advanced applications at a reduced rate. Offsite storage is another huge benefit for cloud users. Back-ups have never been more failsafe when using offsite storage and raid arrays that mirror data as an option to keep data retention redundant. The cloud uses volumized storage in separated server farms that expand and contract with the amount of data storage desired, allowing redundancy, encryption and lower cost to any organization. The cost savings and efficiency become a priceless commodity to any diverse organization to benefit from and I recommend migrating to the cloud if you haven’t already.

Psycological Personality

While recognizing my interpersonal relationships, I can understand how psychology could help me with friends and family matters. There are many general terms and categories relating to psychology that many people can understand well enough and adhere to. After reading a few chapters of Freud's book, I have found psychology to be very beneficial to people’s close relationships with others. When two or more people utilize psychological terms to describe behavior, it helps them understand each other more intimately. Most people can relate to another person if they are aware of their behavioral tendencies as it translates through psychology. There are also several broad categories that emotional dilemmas could be classified as confusing people sometimes into misdiagnosing cause and effects. Sometimes a person could find themselves living with an emotional complexity that was overlooked or superimposed on top of the real problem from some shabby psychologist who was too busy to listen to the patient’s concerns. It turns out that is diagnosing someone with a psychological disorder can ruin a person’s self-awareness and social abilities. I have been reading many cases where a patient had been mistakenly prescribed psychiatric drugs from psychiatrists and ruin their entire career. While psychiatrists regularly prescribe medications, psychologists formerly diagnose mental patients with describable diseases at the onset of treatment. It would require a vigilant psych doctor to notice the underlying cause of someone’s emotional shortcomings.  Most people with mental imbalances aren’t comfortable openly explaining their personality quirks.

While I try to make sense of the fields many terms and labels, I realize how deep someone’s mental state can be rooted in their actions, and it’s startling. Understanding the harmony of a person’s emotions as their behavior exhibits makes a person more deeply aware of their personal traits. If two people could share and practice these abilities, many disagreements could not only be avoided but quickly understood and responded to on a personal level between them. I clearly see how psychological techniques could be used to smooth over rocky relationships in my inner circle, though. I would like to make other people aware of some of the things I’ve read from the chapters in case they might not only learn something about behavior but also exercise some techniques along with me.

This is a subject I’ve never paid much attention to but now I am kind of pleased with the fabric of the course work. I think people like me would make a great psychologist to be quite honest.

Persuasive Speech

Choosing a topic for this assignment was a difficult decision to make. The trending topics of controversy are streaming in like score highlights today. What’s really startling are the critical issues that policymakers overlook while grandstanding. Just imagining how many other qualified administrators who never had a chance to make more reasonable suggestions made me ultimately decide to write this paper about the abortion issue because it seems like a top priority to me. To begin, let me just put on record that abortions need to be regulated. There honestly isn’t a critic who can legitimately argue whether abortions should have some type of policy enforced. This topic has been recently conflated beyond reasonable scope, devolved into a diatribe and is no longer a legislative reformation. The rhetoric has even been turned into a perverted campaign political platform for incumbents to petition their voters with. Abortion has been a contested debate for the past few decades and so far, there has been very little progress concerning the actual issue.

More medical contraceptive breakthroughs have recently been introduced as an alternative to an abortion procedure, but sadly, more late-term infants are aborted worldwide today than ever before. The good news is that the United States abortion rate has been steadily declining since 1970, and now is at its lowest level since abortion has been legalized because of public awareness and activism. Another troubling statistic I stumbled across was that adoption has also been at its lowest rate since the late 2000s and is also declining due to over-regulation and inept, underfunded adoption agencies.

The headlines concerning abortion are also often deceptive. There are different classifications of abortions such as ‘Early Term’, Late Term” and even “Live Abortion” demographics separated into their own statistics and purposely misrepresented in public forum. It’s also important to be aware of the term ‘rate’ versus ‘ratio’. The abortion rate per live birth is coined “ratio” per this paper’s concerns and will be the only statistic referred to for the assignment. In 2014, the CDC had contracted several institutes to conduct ongoing studies because the abortion ratio had fallen below the standard since 1973! Since 2014 the abortion ratio has risen back up steadily in almost all states and the legislation has remained stalled.

Many institutes have also developed polls to gauge whether the public is pro-life or pro-choice in an effort to persuade legislators out of their comfort zones, but to no avail. In recent months, I’ve recognized more people are engaged in the debate publicly than ever before. I’ve also noticed a few lawmakers ready to re-introduce a second heart-beat bill with the Democrat’s desired provisions included, and that’s great news. For as much progress I’ve seen concerning abortion, I fear the issue will gain no traction until the political parties get finished running the wheels off their delict caravan first. Abortion has been implemented as a corporate cash cow from doctors and politicians for decades until Congress suspended funds from questionable programs like ‘Planned Parenthood” and a plague of private abortion clinics was found with fraudulent credentials and illegal ‘harvesting methods’. Lawyers and politicians have a tendency to use vague terms when describing sensitive issues so not to disturb the manufactured outrage. When people realized the actual facts concerning abortion clinics, they will have little choice but to lean pro-life. The pro-life trend is, in fact, overtaking the pro-choice crowd as I speak and it’s ultimately because more people are becoming aware of what abortion clinic executive habits.

Right now, I see a cross-roads of dead-ends because of the many failed social experiments conducted by special interest groups posing as peer activists. The public sees the threat but is unable to properly relay it’s a description to others. Every social movement that turns into a political campaign falls flat on its face and I honestly fear the abortion issue will remain another failure. There will be too many lawyers, drug companies, and medical special interest groups working hand in hand with elected officials to keep abortion manipulated and full of loopholes purposely. There will always be a team of corporate lawyers petitioning for their own greasy palms. The time has finally come when the people can convince Congress to pass conservative right to life acts for infants, but nobody seems to take an initiative to keep the legislative ball rolling. Republicans could easily put a proposal together for the Democrats to look like swamp slime rejecting right before mid-terms but they are either too weak, incompetent or simply bought. I see the issue being used as a crutch for another year at least, and that’s disturbing.

Our government has become experts at exploiting undesired circumstances. With so many ‘relief-funds’ ineffective foundations, useless committees and grey slush funds, it’s no wonder we don’t have this type of a debate about our personal right to harvest our own fresh water, fuel, tobacco, livestock, electricity, natural gas and anything else the government would be unable to profit from. What’s the difference to a corporate executive? Why haven’t these government agencies used our tax funds to build more orphanages, foster programs, exchange student facilities, runaway prevention programs, and vocational training for young adults? Why hasn’t our agencies done anything concerning inner city shortcomings or single parent hardships?  It’s blatantly obvious to me and many others watching that the abortion issue has become nothing more than a virtue signal instead of a model milestone for humanity. Our country should be setting more standards.

Public health monitoring is a systematic collection, analysis, and interpretation of outcome-specific data for use in public health allocation and funding disbursements. The approach to problem-solving includes using data to assess the effectiveness of interventions. Without accurate and timely data, public health programs suffer. The CDC’s Division of Reproductive Health monitors maternal, infant mortality and the most serious reproductive health complications. The major surveillance systems in the division include the Pregnancy Risk Assessment Monitoring System, the National ART Surveillance System, and the Pregnancy Mortality Surveillance System and Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report

The CDC and other organizations developed the Sudden Unexpected Infant Death Case Registry, monitors teen pregnancy and the number and characteristics of women obtaining legal induced abortions in the United States. In 2014, 652,639 legal induced abortions were reported to CDC from 49 reporting areas. The abortion rate for 2014 was 12.1 abortions per 1,000 women aged 15–44 years, and the abortion ratio was 186 abortions per 1,000 live births.

Compared with 2013, the total number and rate of reported abortions for 2014 decreased 2%, and the ratio decreased by 7%. Additionally, from 2005 to 2014, the number, rate, and ratio of reported abortions decreased 21%, 22%, and 22%, respectively. In 2014, all three measures reached their lowest level for the entire period of analysis (2005—2014).

Women in their twenties accounted for the majority of abortions in 2014 and throughout the period of analysis. The majority of abortions in 2014 took place early in gestation:  91.5% of abortions were performed at ≤13 weeks’ gestation; a smaller number of abortions (7.2%) were performed at 14–20 weeks’ gestation and even fewer (1.3%) were performed at ≥21 weeks’ gestation. In 2014, 22.6% of all abortions were early medical abortions. The percentage of abortions reported as early medical abortions increased 110% from 2005 to 2014, with a 1% increase from 2013 to 2014.

With new legislation on the horizon, the establishment doctors and clinics are clamoring to save their sinking ship by any means necessary. A reoccurring tactic commonly used is an argument of women’s freedom to choose whether to give birth or abort, while trading one moral high ground equally for the other as a response to this potential “infringement”.   The idea here is that maternal women are covered into making unjust decisions because of over-reaching federal policies like 1 HB 490, The Heartbeat Protection Act of 2017. Paid professionals argued that a heartbeat shouldn’t be the mile-marker of a living fetus, and funding should only be allocated on peer-reviewed medical efficacy facts. The bill was vetoed because the bill wasn’t organized enough to address the repercussions. There has been a bill passed that have prohibited sex-selective abortions, and other restrictions on abortion clinics in many states since 2013. Abortions have been outlawed after 11 or 15 weeks, in some states, and clinics are highly scrutinized with reporting. These steps are taken in stride, although in the right direction, our country seems to have fallen behind. Australia also has regulated the abortion process into province jurisdictions rather than federal policy, and I think our country should follow suit. Abortions should have been regulated in our country by now.

Climatic Change

Today, we are to a stalling point of mutual understanding while debating the undeniable proof about how Earth’s climate has always been changing. The fact that Earth’s climate has always been changing doesn’t give any measured sort of account of its degradation, either.  While the energy shill and establishment lawyers clamor on about side issues and blame other countries, I have decided to do the footwork to find out the actual cause and effects of our depleting ozone.
The ozone layer is a gas of blue color, consisting of tri-atomic oxygen molecules. The molecules were formed from 600~ million years of lightning. The fresh smell after a thunderstorm is an excellent example of how the oxygen molecules interact with the rest of Earth’s atmosphere.  The ozone is a layer of gas that covers the planet at an altitude of 20-50 Kilometers, shielding the planet from ultra-violet radiation. The ozone layer also helps insulate Earth’s temperatures between seasons, thus controlling the jet stream and ocean currents.
The Ozone layer reflects roughly 20% of our planet’s heat back down and warms our atmosphere creating rain clouds. Lately, our ozone has been losing its density at an alarming rate. It was first noticed in the early ’60s and projected to be completely torn to pieces before 2030. In 1974 The University of California already realized our ozone was mostly damaged by nitrogen fertilizers, hydrogen bombs, jet exhaust, and space shuttle launched distribute chlorine and other toxic gasses into the upper ozone. Freon was banned in 1987 with a bill named The International Montreal Agreement. Even today, regulations are in place that prevents hazardous molecules in a consumer product. Dichloro-methane concentrations have doubled in the past decade, and now scientists are trying to find out where all of the dichloromethane and CFC-11's are still coming from. Many professionals say its most likely Chinese factories still use the cheapest manufacturing methods because of the lack of regulations.
Chemical fertilizers, jet engines, aerosols, foundries, freight industrious pollution, and high-altitude hydrogen bomb experiments have been our ozone layer’s demise. Scientists say that the ozone can only sustain no more than a 1.5 megaton explosion before it completely fails. Mainstream scientists were caught falsely claiming that volcano eruptions and other toxic ash clouds could have been the main culprit, but today's labs have confirmed it is exotic compounds. Loopholes in regulations and other corporate interests have perpetuated the problem for more than a decade.
Sly lawyers and energy cronies grease each other's palms before any litigation can pinpoint blame on executives purposely ignoring environmental damages. If Congress could have an hour once a year to evaluate the climates damage, they could easily see its changes. It’s alarming how fragile what’s left of the ozone is. There is a huge hole over Antartica as I speak. If I could compress Earth’s ozone layer and vacuum seal every molecule to eliminate free space, it would be a thin sheet on Earth’s surface under 3 millimeters thick. The ozone is clearly on its last legs and has been since the late ’90s. Scientists have all been told that by the time our ozone is depleted, we will have air scrubbing technology and synthetic oxygen ions to path it up with, yet here we are today, trying to rope other developing nations into broken green energy plans while they have just entered their industrial boom. The best way to implement regulations on developing countries is by providing the chemicals and means to them as an incentive rather than impose dimwit regulations.
More and more toxic compounds are invented today than ever before, and large-scale production has been the main target with modest progress. Bloated committees inject mindless talk for their own interest’s sake and stall our progress too often. Every country should be required d to help clean the ocean too. Rivers and waterways leech too many chemicals into the ocean year after year while nobody seems to do much about it. Scientists can identify the problem but cannot write legislation to correct the problem. The ozone is directly affected by chemical reactions too. Burning plastics, burning Styrofoam, burning oil, and other petroleum products produce very volatile hydrocarbons and neurotoxins damaging anything it comes near. Acid rain and other detrimental adverse effects could cause the ozone to tear further, eliminating our insulation between seasons, causing huge temperature shifts and strong storms. The ozone is responsible for protecting Earth’s trade-winds, jet-streams, arctic boundary layer, and seasonal rains, too.
The ozone is constantly bombarded with pollution from below and U.V. radiation from above. Losing any more of our ozone layers means disrupting our word’s eco-system. A climate catastrophe that would come in the form of droughts, crop failures, mass deforestation, melting ice shelves, mass extinction of plankton, algae, and fungus, serious mutations of skin cancers and other radioactive virus mutations. The risks with losing another 10% of the ozone come in the form of decades of genetic diseases and birth defects affecting all sorts of life on Earth. The technology to clean air is a simple one, too.  Every building should have an ionic grid to capture air pollution. Ionic filters run on low voltage, and work better than a lightning rod, anyway. Cleaning up even 25% of our city's smog can mean the less El Nino, I'm serious. When are people going to clean up the trash strewn about our planet? I’d like to see it before I die.

Identifying Stress

Stress comes in many forms from many places and manifests into a person's psyche as tension, emotional strain, discouragement, anxiety to name a few. After reading the chapter concerning stress, I learned it is believed to stem from the body’s reaction to deal with a threat, challenge or physical and psychological barrier. The nervous system and hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis is also spelled out in many peer-reviewed studies concerning the origin of stress. Some studies prove that extreme stress can cause many health risks such as balding, depression, mood swings, self-harm, violent outbursts, poor diet, irregular sleep among others. It’s important to keenly identify what causes stress and learn how to cope with it accordingly. I decided to make a list of things I am consciously aware of that stress me out in no particular order, and was shocked by how long the list ended up being!
I realized that we are all surrounded by stressors daily. Things like deadlines and relationship problems were the most stressful to people, followed by financial obligations, traffic, work, regulations, policies, and social structure. The most prevalent stressor is major life changes. Things like marriage, relatives dying or being born, moving to another state, or learning about something that changes your life dramatically causes the most stress in people. I’ve noticed other stressors that affect my stress level like discriminatory practices from potential lenders, employers, and legislators as well. Society has simply been full of stressors and stresses.

Learning how to deal with stress is more important than identifying what stresses a person out because some stressors are subconscious, and the individual would be unaware of what may be causing them stress. Dealing with stress is also much easier than identifying its origin. The most important thing anyone who may be stressed out could do for themselves is to adhere to a strict sleep, diet and exercise regimen. Dietary that boost immune response can also help keep a clear head as stress can sometimes suppress your immune response.
Using notes to keep track of your train of thought is also important when trying to overcome stressors. Prioritizing your tasks also help someone who may feel overwhelmed. Small goals are sure to bring back some self-confidence, as well as keep the mind busy with tasks at hand. A good time-out would help someone tremendously after putting a task list together too. Sometimes a quick silence and prayer can get an individual’s will strong enough to press on. Prescription drugs are often used to treat stress and high anxiety, but I personally believe that good counseling works much better. Talking about the stress with someone to confide in allows an outside approach and constructive advice on the issues at hand. I also like to meditate after a hot shower when I’m stressed. Aromatherapy, soft music while I’m working, and stretching help me with stress. Jogging and walking are excellent pacifiers as well. While stress is not unavoidable, it can be made manageable if a person is conscious of its pressing effects. Stress and its side effects are a mounting problem with today’s society an there are many resources to take advantage of when going through it. The mere fact of finding someone stressing about the same issues as yourself is a bit relieving because people can relate to others more easily than a psychological disorder. Not because misery loves company, but because shared experiences ultimately bring people closer together.

Huge Savings
